"Many Cultures, One Elk Grove" Celebration Dinner & Multi-Cultural Event

Hi everyone! I haven't posted a blog post since before the new year. I hope all of you are doing well and are having a wonderful 2017 so far. Recently I've been working with Blue on some new things and I'm hoping to share some of them with everyone soon! This past Saturday I performed for Elk Grove's new mayor, Steve Ly, at his multi-cultural event. I am completely honored to have been asked to attend and perform "America the Beautiful". I am extremely proud to come from such a loving, supportive, and diverse town. In fact, Elk Grove is the 7th most diverse city in the United States. I would like to congratulate Steve on not only winning the election, but on being the very first Hmong mayor in the history of our nation. 

I met so many wonderful and beautiful fans, and I am so thankful to each and every one of you.

I would like to say a special thank you to all of the men & women who serve our country each and every single day...and for those who have yet to return, may you return home safely soon. ❤️...I would also like to dedicate my new single, #MillionDays to everyone who waits for their loved ones to return home.."I'd wait a million days for you.." ✨

Such a lovely ballad about someone who would wait a million days to be with the one they love...Whether it's someone you love that you're waiting to return home from war, or a couple that isn't socially excepted but would wait their entire lives fighting for the right to be together, it's just about love. During these times of the election, riots, protests, etc we could all use a little love. I see so many people (especially on social media) getting caught up with politics and all sorts of things that don't define who you are as a person, it's just what you believe. We all have the right to our own opinion and thoughts, and we shouldn't tear others down for their beliefs, even if you disagree. Hopefully despite all the hate and violence that occurs in our world today, listening to "Million Days" will give some of you that hope that love ALWAYS wins. It's not about which political party you're in, if you're white, black, or POC..if you're straight, gay, bisexual, or transgender..if you're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or Catholic..it's about who you are as a person. How you treat others, what you do for others, how you show love and kindness in this world...that's what defines you. So I hope the one thing everyone takes from listening to "Million Days", is that love conquers all. ❤️❤️❤️

On Friday, May 20, 2016, I released my very first single "Falling Down", which is now available on all of your favorite music streaming sources!

That same night, we held a release party for friends, family, and fans to come hang out, dance, and enjoy some good food all night long! Of course, we also jammed out to "Falling Down" a few times haha. I signed autographs, took pictures with fans, and we all just had a really good time! :)

My fans are truly the best fans ever...without you none of this would even be possible. So this is for you <3 I would like to thank "Team Rachel" as we say haha...Mom and Dad, for always having my back and being the most supportive parents I could ever ask for. Blue Hamilton, for being the best songwriter/producer EVER! and being so supportive and helping me fulfill my dreams. Karen Alayne, for being the best manager in the world! You have been a HUGE part of my life for so long and not only am I thankful to have you as a part in my career, I'm extremely thankful to have you in my life period. 2016 IS HERE!! Is it really already April? 2016 has been such a busy year already! I've been back and forth between Sacramento, LA, and Atlanta doing photoshoots, recording, and press! Getting really excited to finally start sharing with you guys what I've been up to these past few months! Also really thankful for all the new fans I've been getting from all over the world! This past Sunday, November 8th, Rachel performed at Busby's East on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. Hosted by Zach Callison and Kenton Duty (who also performed), Rachel performed 3 songs: Something's Got A Hold On Me, Just A Little Bit of Your Heart, and Chandelier. On Saturday, September 12, 2015 Rachel was scheduled to do a 30 minute set at Grace Coffee Roasters in Elk Grove but the crowd loved her performance so much, it turned into a 2 hour show! RACHEL AUDITIONS FOR NBC'S "THE VOICE"

This past Saturday, July 25th, Rachel auditioned in Los Angeles, CA for NBC's "The Voice". And although this year she didn't make it onto tv, Rachel stated, "even though I didn't make it this year, I had a really fun experience auditioning for the voice! I got to meet some very sweet people and overall I had a great weekend in LA with my parents! :-)"

This year Rachel won Elk Grove, CA's "O Say Can You Sing" National Anthem Contest and got to sing at the City Council Meeting and was presented with a ribbon from the mayor. Aside from singing, she was also featured in Elk Grove Citizen Newspaper!
